So you’ve just unboxed your shiny new Roku smart TV or a Roku-capable TV box. After getting all the usual suspects — Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime — up and running, you decide to treat yourself to some adult content.
It won’t be long until you realize that Pornhub is not available as a Roku channel, so how can you stream your favorite spicy videos on the big screen? Read on to find out!
Roku Channels Aren’t An Option
If this was a few years ago, we’d give you a quick guide on adding unofficial channels to your Roku device, and it would all be well and good. Unfortunately, Roku killed off all unofficial channel support in February of 2022.
This decision apparently came from wanting users to be protected from potentially harmful or upsetting content on top of wanting to stop potential piracy from happening on the platform.
If you ask us, it’s a huge bummer — but not the end of the world, as there still is a way to watch Pornhub on your Roku smart TV. It might take a bit more effort, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll have your favorite porn videos playing in the time it takes to unbutton your jeans.
Mirroring Your Screen To Roku
Did you know that most devices these days support screen mirroring? That’s right — any iOS or Android phone released semi-recently comes with a way to mirror the contents of its screen to a capable device. You can even mirror your entire computer screen if you’re on Windows 10 or 11!
It just so happens that Roku smart TVs are among those capable devices! The process is a bit involved, so make sure to follow closely. If something doesn’t work, try repeating the steps until it does.
Mirroring Your Screen From Android
To mirror your screen from Android, simply find and tap on the Smart View option in the settings. It might also be called mirror screen or cast screen or be under a brand-specific name. Google is your friend here; simply look up [Brand Name] Screen Mirror.
Make sure you’re on the same Wi-Fi network as your Roku smart TV and choose it from the list of devices. Choose either Allow or Always Allow. Your Android screen should be immediately visible on your Roku smart TV.
Mirroring Your Screen From iPhone
First, make sure AirPlay is enabled on your Roku TV by going to Settings and then Apple AirPlay and Homekit. If you don’t see the option, your TV doesn’t support the feature, and you’re out of luck.
On your iPhone, make sure you’re connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Roku device and then open up the AirPlay menu from your control center.
Choose the Roku from the list of devices that appear, and your screen should immediately be visible on your Roku smart TV!
Mirroring Your Screen From Windows
To mirror your screen to your Roku TV from Windows, first, make sure you’re on the same internet connection as your Roku device. Then click on the Action Center in the bottom right corner of the screen on your taskbar.
From there, click on Connect and choose your Roku device from the list. Your screen should be immediately visible on your Roku smart TV!
If you can’t find the Action Center or have it disabled, you can open up Settings, then head over to System, Display, and finally Connect to a wireless display. Pick your Roku from the list, and you’re good to go!
